As you continue to grow and evolve in your destiny it can, at times, be a lonely road. When following God, you tend to lose friendships, relationships, jobs, and even finances. But what we think is a loss is really a gain because many times when we are not walking in purpose we tend to surround ourselves in a lot of toxic mess. So now God has tear down all of these false images that we created for ourselves so He can build us back up with the real version of ourselves.
The text tells us in Luke 9:61-62
“Still another said I will follow you Lord but first let me go back and say good bye to my family. Jesus replied, no one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
Yes, I know you can be in a season when you’re looking back over your old life and think, things were a lot more fun when I was out of my mind and unconsciousness. Loll. That is just the adversary playing tricks on you. Yes, I know you may miss your family and friends but where God is taking you everyone cannot go. The good news is that God restores everything that we thought we lost 100 fold. God gives everything back to you with peace. Don’t look back you need every ounce of your energy to keep moving forward.
Here are three tips to help you keep moving forward:
- Focus on you and becoming the best version of yourself
- Know that God is with you and he will never leave you nor forsake you
- Being lonely is not always a negative thing. God isolates us to disconnect us from the distractions of the world, so we can properly hear his voice.
God loves you and so do I,
