I truly believe that 2019 is the year of new beginnings. You have laid your foundation and have some kind of direction and now it’s time to leave the old and enter into the new. If you have not read my post 2019: Year of New Beginnings, you can read it HERE
But as we are entering into this new season be careful not to desire something so bad you settle for a counterfeit version instead of waiting on Gods best. You see the adversary does not come in red horn suit but in things that we desire that entice us that has our attention.
Be careful of things that come too easily. With God there is always a waiting period and a process. Because God wants your character to match the blessing. Do you have as big as heart as you do the blessing that is coming your way? Our character and our growth does not change over night but it changes through a process of life experiences. There are certain things that you’ve been desiring like your job, your marriage, your finances that you do not have in this season simply because it’s not the time for it yet.
The text tells us “And I am certain that God who began the good work with in you will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (Philippians 1:6)
God will finish what he started in you. There is no need to go off and start taking things into your own hands. Gods timing is not our timing. You can not call something late if you do not know the timing of it.
Here are three things that will help you with false hope:
- Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your request to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
- There will always be a waiting period. The goal is to not get discouraged while you wait.
- While your waiting prepare yourself for what’s to come.
God loves you and so do I,
