I hope all is well with you and I find you in good standing as we are approaching the new year. And of course I have a word for you. I’ll be referencing from the book of Mark in the text because there are two stories that are a great example of how you need to move in this next season in your life.
The story of when Jesus heals the paralytic, by this point Jesus was famous so each time He spoke he had a crowd of people surrounding Him. Because of the crowd the four men who were carrying the paralytic made an opening in the roof above Jesus and lowered the man, when Jesus saw their faith he said to the man, “son your sins are forgiven” and he was healed. (Mark 2:4-5)
Another example is the woman who was bleeding for 12 years. When she heard about Jesus she came up behind him in the crowd and touched the hem of his garment because she thought if she could just touch his clothes she will be healed. Jesus said “who touched me” and the woman confessed and Jesus replied to her “daughter your faith has healed you” (Mark 5 24-34)
Some of you are still suffering, are still in your same position, are not moving forward because of your lack of faith. You are still going with the crowd when God has called you to stand out. The way God blesses you is not going to be how he blessed others, but if you keep the faith and persevere you will see the blessings that are to come.
With faith comes healing and power.
You see true faith comes out of desperation when your back is up against the wall. When you tried everything else but nothing seemed to work. The woman and the man in the text where so desperate that they had to take a risk, they had to do something they never done before, they had to find out how to stand out amongst the crowd, not fitting in with the crowd. The man made a whole above Jesus and lowered him him to be healed. Who was doing that? No one.
Sometimes you are not going to have to wait in the line and go through the same process and 10-year grind that other people went through. Sometimes it will take that 1 act of obedience, that 1 leap of faith that will catapult you into the next level that God has for you.
Before 2019 ends 3 things to keep in mind that will help you get to the next level God has for you:
- Are you in position for God to move in your life?
- Have you taken that leap of faith? What is God telling you to do?
- It’s impossible to please God without faith.
Thank you God for Progression,
